Synesthesia vs. Colorblind people

Synesthesia occurs when people experience stimuli in two modes rather than one. This can manifest in different ways. For example, some people can feel certain colors, or taste words. It is estimated that 4% of the world’s population has synesthesia.
On the other side of the color spectrum, color blindness occurs when the rods in an individual’s eye do have pigments missing. This cause’s an individual to not be able to see the full range of colors. Color blindness affects 300 million people, the majority of which are male. Some people even see the world in black and white, with a condition known as achromatopsia.
