  1. Olive and Slate: Located on 304 South Walnut Street, this store offers a range of decor, from pillows to dish towels. Among other gifts, they offer liquor-themed candles made in repurposed alcohol bottles. 
  2. Debbie’s Handmade Soap: Debbie’s Handmade Soap offers over 60 scented soaps, bath bombs, and other various self-care products. The soap is formulated for sensitive skin. You can find this shop on 123 South Walnut Street. 
  3. The Hayloft Boutique: Located on 202 South Walnut Street, this shop houses rustic women’s clothing. They have a wide size range to accomodate all body types and offer free shipping through their online store.

Munchin’ in Muncie

  1. Casa del Sol Mexican Grill: Located on 206 South Walnut Street, this restaurant offers a wide range of Mexican food, from burrito to fajita—they’ve got it. They offer different deals throughout the week; Wednesday features $3.99 daiquiris and piña coladas and Thursday is $4 margaritas.
  2. Elm Street Brewing Company: Elm Street Brewing Company is a must-try downtown restaurant. The menu offers sandwiches, pizzas, soups, salads, and a mac-n-cheese. This hearty restaurant also has a unique cocktail and beer menu for those aged 21 and up. Visit this joint on 519 North Elm Street. 
  3. Vera Mae’s Bistro: Enjoy a classy night out at Vera Mae’s Bistro, on 209 South Walnut Street. This sophisticated restaurant offers tasty hors d’oeuvres and elegant dinner options. This restaurant also offers a cheesecake and charcuterie option.

Much-Needed Muncie Fun

  1. Canan Commons: Sprawl out on Canan Commons, a park located on 500 South Walnut Street. This space is open for residents to hang out, and it often serves as grounds for various outdoor events in the summer. 
  2. Epic Escape Game: Located on South Jefferson Street, you and a group of friends have an hour to escape from a locked room by solving puzzles. This attraction offers various themed rooms with different difficulty levels. Epic Escape Game is currently closed, but plans to reopen sometime in April, according to its website. 
  3. Muncie Civic Theatre: The next show hitting Muncie will be “High School Musical” and will take place May 28-30. The show is scheduled for an outdoor performance at Canan Commons. The theatre is located on 216 East Main Street.
