How Do People Learn About Race?

Race can be a difficult topic to discuss. However, conversations about racial discrimination have, over the last year or so, dominated headlines and public forums. To begin to understand all of the different actions, reactions, or lack of actions that make up or surround the numerous issues of discrimination, we need to look at the root of the concept of race. How do people learn about race in the first place? What influences the various perceptions of it?

    1. That was a great video, great educational tool, great stepping stone. What is the next step? Can you use that tool and now go off campus with less educated people?

      1. Thank you for your kind words! We hope to create more videos in the future that connect to other topics that we discuss online. We don’t plan to shoot a similar video off campus, but that is an interesting idea. We hope that people will use this video as a way to start a conversation about race, and how we all learn about it.

        Thanks again,
